Hey, Christie!

Thank you for your help in  planning our  wedding!

I would love to create an Oregon-sourced gift for my bridesmaids but I don’t know where to start. Could you give me some ideas?

–Paige, Perplexed in Portlan

Hey, Paige!

You two have been so much fun to work with on your wedding!

Of course, I’ve got ideas for you!

1. Start with a duffle bag. Everyone needs a great carryall!

You could monogram it with each person’s initials or give them a gift certificate for any three letters they want.

2. There are so many amazing products made right here in Oregon.

By selecting local merchants, you are supporting our local economy Yeah, you!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Carriage House Lavender: Handcrafted lavender products for personal care and your home

imagine seeing a beautiful future when all anyone else sees is a stuck in the dismal past, dilapidated, scheduled for demolition carriage house (a stately barn for miniature ponies) and farm.

That’s what Dave Murray did when he repurposed and renovated this rickety old farm into a gorgeous carriage house and lavender farm—and oasis of peaceful grace in a world of night-plunged chaos.

He selected, planted, and carefully tended several varieties of lavender–including one named for his beloved daughter, the Miss Katherine–on this property with its sweeping views of the Willamette Valley.

After he gently harvests the lavender, he develops products for your home and for you. As gifts to your besties, these spa products allow you to pamper them with their own spa day!

These could easily go into each bridesmaid’s duffle bag:  handcrafted soaps, sachets, a pampering pedi-pack,  essential oil, shea butter cream, a luxurious foot cream, and a lavender-jasmine muscle rub!

Then we have the answer for you!

For the Man of Honor and/or the groomsmen, there is a beard oil which softens even the prickliest cactus face.
