Portland’s Premier Wedding Venue
Indoor weddings and receptions available all year
Outdoor weddings and receptions available as the weather allows
While we only ever celebrate one event at a time, there are three distinct outdoor wedding venues for your wedding at the Ainsworth House & Gardens, as well as indoor options available throughout the year, or if the summer sun decides to melt that day.
The Ainsworth House itself is available before the ceremony for the exclusive use of the wedding party, complete with Bride’s Suite (with separate door), Groom’s Lounge, and, on the ground floor for easy access, a sitting room for your families.
Also, once you’ve booked the day, you can change your mind on which site to use as often as you like because we never “double book” ~ yours will be the only event at the site.
The Pine Tree Garden
The Pine Tree Garden, nearly an acre in size, surrounds a lone 200+ year-old Ponderosa Pine which towers over the grounds, stretching its branches to cover your wedding party with its ancient blessing. After the ceremony cocktails and appetizers are usually served on the lawn, where your musicians or DJ can continue to entertain your guests. During this time the wedding party can take some time for private photos near the House or in the Grove and then have all the guests join them for a wonderful group photo from the House balcony. Dinner can be served either in the Reception Facility or on the lawn, though we always return indoors for the Wedding Cake and dancing. Maximum number – 125
The Main House
The Main House makes a marvelously romantic backdrop for your ceremony, which will be celebrated on the main steps. You can arrive by horse-drawn carriage and walk along a white or petal-strewn carpet set between your seated guests, all the way to the House. Your reception can be hosted either in the Reception Facility or outdoors on one of the lawns. It is a dream setting. Suggested maximum seating – 75
A Wedding in the Grove is also possible in the Ainsworth Gardens for smaller groups, just a short walk from the Bride’s Room through the spinney of slender trees to a wrought iron gazebo draped in lights and flowers. Truly a magical setting, your guests can gather around the wedding party and, under the gentle, dappled light, hear your vows up close and personal. Suggested maximum – 40 if standing, 20 if seated.
