Becca and I are planning our spring wedding at Ainsworth House & Gardens. Becca has her heart set a getting married in the Pine Tree Garden, an outdoor venue which seats 125. I know that a wedding can be moved indoors to the Event Center at Ainsworth in about 2 hours if the weather turns nasty. As a native Oregonian, I know the weather around here can change quickly so I’d rather plan our wedding indoors to begin with and not have the panic of moving the wedding to your indoor site at the last minute. Could you give me some reasons I could use to convince Becca?

That’s a great question! And yes, I can give you six great reasons to plan your indoor wedding here at Ainsworth House & Gardens.
1. You are right: The weather here can change at the last minute causing all kinds of stress when moving the wedding, the decorations, the flowers, and everything indoors. It can be done but why put yourselves through that stress?
2. Our indoor venue in our Event Center seats exactly the same number of people as our outdoor venue, the Pine Tree Garden. (We have additional outdoor venues for smaller sets of guests—up to 20 in The Grove or up to 75 people on the Front Lawn in front of the mansion.) If you opt for an indoor wedding, you don’t have to change your guest list!
3. Our Event Center provides an intimate setting for your amazing wedding!
4. By having an indoor wedding, you have many more options on themes, decorations, and designs—and you don’t have to worry about an errant outdoor breeze discombobulating all your decorations!
5. Better photos: Photographers and videographers love indoor weddings because the photos are of higher quality and have greater consistency. The lighting at an outdoor wedding can change from sunny to cloudy quickly and completely change the photos if the photog doesn’t adjust accordingly.
6. After your indoor wedding ceremony, you can start your reception with a cocktail party in our Garden Room while reset the Conservatory and the Fireside Room for dining. All of these rooms are in our Event Center so you don’t have to go outside at any time. You and your guests stay warm and dry during your winter wedding or cool and collected during your entire summer celebration!
