Ainsworth House & Gardens is an historic property sitting on over two acres of lush gardens. Peaceful, elegant and even whimsical in places, Ainsworth House has hosted Ceremonies, Celebrations and other Family Gatherings for many years. With an experienced staff of event planners, an extensive catalogue of preferred vendors, and a tradition of offering boutique quality at reasonable prices, we hope you will fall in love with the venue as much as we have.

Offering events all year round, but only ever one event at a time, the 3,000 square foot reception facility, comprising Conservatory, Garden Room and Fireside Room, beautifully compliments the outdoor patio and woodland area, the magnificent Pine Tree Garden and formal main drive. This means we are one of Portland’s foremost full-service wedding and event venues who can offer outdoor and well as indoor facilities.

Weddings at Ainsworth House

Our Wedding Service, offering seven hour or longer bookings, and a great flexibility, means we can help you build the perfect balance of vendors to match your catering, photography and entertainment style. Offering outdoor or indoor ceremonies and receptions means we can create your personal dream. Adding in a horse and carriage, jazz band, or photo booth is always easy for us to help you do.

With no in-house service charges, no catering minimums (and over 5 regular preferred vendors to choose from, see our Caterers page,) plus no corkage fees, (allowing you to brig your own beer and wine,) Ainsworth House is committed to helping you keep control of your expenditure while never compromising on style.
