About Ainsworth House & Gardens Wedding Venue
Located about 20 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Portland, Ainsworth House & Gardens Wedding Venue is a serene escape where you can host the wedding of your dreams!
Let’s take a tour!
The anchor building is the mansion built in 1851 for the Ainsworth family.
The Ainsworths were one of the pioneer families. They worked to guide Oregon to statehood.
Being members of high society, the Ainsworths hosted lavish parties for the political elite of the Oregon territory and later Oregon state.
They astutely formed alliances which strengthened their position in society.
The Event Center is where all receptions and any indoor weddings are held.
Able to host up to 125 guests, the Event Center is a fabulous location for dining and dancing.
In the Reception Hall, your hired musician can entertain your guests by playing our baby grand piano. After your reception, move into the Main Hall for dining. Then, return to the Reception Hall to dance!
Gracing the mansion’s front lawn is a Ponderosa Pine even older than Ainsworth House.
Estimated to be over 200 years old, this majestic tree has welcomed many couples who married happily under the tree’s expansive branches.
This wedding venue can seat up to 125 guests.
Meticulously maintained by an experienced staff of landscape professionals, the gardens burst with blooms throughout the seasons.
The Arbor, under which the bride and her escort can walk to the main wedding venue, blooms vibrantly during spring, summer, and fall—making for exquisite photographs!
During winter, our gardens continue to bloom with glorious colors! The Chinese Paper Bush near the Event Center blooms with gorgeous yellow flowers that flutter in the breeze like the paper lanterns outside a Chinese pagoda. Our Clemantis bloomed in the winter. Resistant to the chill, our camellias brightly bloom during December. (Actually, we’re not sure if they are confused…😊)
Ainsworth House & Gardens has several sedding venues on this property. This allows you to select the venue most appropriate for the number of guests you invite.
The Pine Tree Garden: up to 125 guests (outdoor weddings).
The Event Center: up to 125 guests (indoor weddings).
The Mansion’s Front Lawn: up to 75 guests.
The Grove: up to 20 guests.
For couples seeking a smaller wedding with their 20 of their nearest and dearest, The Grove is the perfect location!
The Grove is a forest of slender Black Locust trees.
Nestled in the forest is a beautiful wrought iron gazebo which you can bedazzle with twinkling lights or with beautiful flowers!
Whether you get married in the gazebo or under the trees, you will have an exquisite wedding!
